New Jobz

Tomorrow I start work at a new job. This will be my second job this summer. I’m trying to just occupy myself with tons of things. Summers are always terrible. I find that I’m most often watching embarrassing television and eating out of boredom. This year I want to change that which is why I’m writing two things for the Daily Texan and working two part-time jobs. Maybe this will be fun? I don’t know.
Baby Carrots are grown-up carrots chopped into smaller pieces and peeled (known as baby-cut carrots).
Things I learn on the internet. I really thought baby carrots were baby grown carrots. Right now, I’m watching Rushmore and enjoying an evening with friends. This is my aunt, Janet. Her daughter, my cousin, was graduating this day. She’s a photographer herself, so probably rarely gets her picture taken. Anyway, I thought this was nice of her.
Boom
For class a few weeks ago we had to do this project where we created movement within our world by using still pictures. I photographed my sister jumping into a pool and then made her walk on water. Although I got an ok grade, I wonder how I would’ve done if I’d just had her jump in water instead of the walking. Either way, this picture is fantastic. Claire might disagree.

Perhaps it is ok that no one reads this blog (besides ishipoo who left me). I quit facebook this week and need some sort of internet distraction. Here are some things on my mind:
1) Fresca is very refreshing. And tasty.
2) My new haircut and the new pair of mary janes I recently acquired have turned me into some sort of life sized doll. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing yet.
3) Speaking of dolls. My mother and I have recently decided to purchase the newest doll in the American Girl collection. I forget her name, but she’s Jewish and from Russia. When asking my mom what we are going to do with the doll she responded “Display it.” I’m the youngest child in my family. Displaying an American Girl doll borders on creepy. But, you know.
One More
One more day until I go back to Austin. One more. I get my haircut tomorrow and I kind of want something different but classy. Is that possible? Not sure. Today I went shopping and bought lots of wonderful things. I have been coveting these beautiful gold ballet flats by JCrew all semester. I bought them today. They are so plain and wonderful. So glowing and structured. Seriously these shoes. Today’s picture is also in my home. Same beautiful lighting and same friends. Maybe that will change someday…
Mandy Moore is on TV
My cousin is graduating and it makes me realize that I could care less about 99% of the people from my graduating class. It seems like such a big deal the moment you graduate but really these people are people you won’t care about ever again. Maybe that was just my case. 
Anyway, here is a photo of my other roomie Leigh. Beautiful. My house provides this weird yellow glow that makes pictures turn out beautiful. Blah blah

Sorry that this blog hasn’t taken off like I’d hoped. I’m beginning to take a new interest in my photography. I realize that my favorite thing to shoot is gatherings of friends and family. You can decide if you like them or not, but it is a budding interest. Mia might not enjoy this photo of herself, but I think it’s awesome. She needed a headshot and so as I was taking some serious photos of her against my eggplant wall I captured her laughing. I suggested she use this as her headshot. But, the company needed something you know, boring.
